Default Advise on Cantilever mount for AR

I am looking at options for a Cantilver mount for an LPVO for an AR.

So far the offering by UTG looks good enough, but I am not sure about the height and forward extension needed.
I bought an LPVO second hand and currently have MBUS installed on my S&W M&P Sport II.
The LPVO is a Nikko Stirling Octa 1-8x24.

I see two options with forward extension: 34mm and 50mm as well as differing heights: Medium and High.

Best pricing I found was from Suburban guns, so will be an online order.

I am not too clued up on these things, so would like to know what the other guys are using.

*Edit: with hunting rifles I have most always taken in the rifle with the scope to check for fit and clearances etc...

The correct height and reach will depend on your build, your hold and the furniture (stock specifically).
Mount the LPVO on your rifle using spacers whittled from wood or polystyrene or something and some tape or bungee cords or whatever, and move until it feels correct, then measure the position and go from there.

I’m looking at a cantilever for my AR also. But the cost seems high for what I want to do. From your research how’s pricing on the options you’ve looked at?

R1295 for the UTG from Suburban guns. Then have also looked at Arken, Hawke and Victoptics, which run around R1500
