I had one license approved mid December and received card 6 January. Had another license approved on 19 Jan and collected card first week in Feb. All done through Durbanville station, I must say they really go the extra mile there.

Lucky you Kaapjagter my license for handgun for sd was approved in December.Im still waiting for my card to be printed.Phoned my DFO at least twice a week she keeps on telling me "nope not yet" and according to her she's receiving close to two thousand cards a week!!!!!!!!Yes thats right 2000 hell thats more than CFR.Eish what can we do just have to wait.By the way im in Rustenburg ,North West province.
P.s Im not really shocked took 9 months for my competency card to be printed apparently the printer was broken in Potchestroom

hi krobar, mine was approved 19 jan an yesterday still nothing at pta north dfo. at what station of dfo are you in pta?

spoke to call centre last night and was informed that the queue is now 300 000+ and that they did aquire a new printer but they cant say if its running or not.

Licenses approved 24 Jan. Got SMS today from Lyttelton to collect cards WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS! The @#%*^%$ audacity to impose a 5 day timeline after they took 2.5 years!! Jokers!
But since I can't wait to get my hands on my new babies, I'll be there tomorrow

I was rather lucky, received my card 5 days after approval. That in rural KwaZulu Natal!

guys, i'm almost as happy as the day i heard my license was approved... just got off the phone with cfr and my card was printed today. one day less than 7 weeks. will hammer on the station now to get it there.
