I have once found one on a freshly killed springbok lamb, however, this springbok was larger, and I spotted crows on it when driving past earlier the morning, on my return the eagle had claimed the carcass. While they are good hunters, I once watched a pair of black eagles trying to catch a grey rhebuck ewe, they are not above scavenging.
