    Default R 50 000 - 60 000 Thermal

I am in the "considering it seriously" stage of buying a Thermal scope for mainly Bushpig control and the option of also using it for farm security. I don't like the idea of clip on types. Hikmicro Stellar SH35L seems good enough for intended use. It will be mounted with QD mounts on my 30-06 /6,5X55 / .223 (Not for Bushpig on .223) so that I can detach it if needed as a handheld. The "Non mounted like a standard scope" types of thermals have too complicated mounted systems for easy transfer between existing Picatinny rails and not-on-rifle use purposes for my liking.

Is there real life experience here with an opinion or other suggestions?

Geno is the man to speak to.

I tested a NNPO thermal scope a while back (it falls in your price range) and was quite impressed, as was one of the better-known jackal hunters who tried it but to be honest, I have too little experience with other makes of thermal scopes to make a meaningful comparison.

There is a nice Youtbue channel. Texasplinking. He really goes into various models. However might be tricky to get hold of all he shows.
