Default High NRR Electronic Earmuffs Xtreme Gear & Birchwood Casey Ekrest

Hi I was looking for Electronic Earmuffs with High NRR value. The Peltor products are great but very expensive.

I had 2 pairs of Rudolph electronic Earmuffs but they both broke at the arms just after a year and a bit

I saw 2 good contenders and wondering if anyone has any experience with either if they are ok quality:

    • Xtreme Gear Bluetooth Earmuffs Black

    • Birchwood Casey Ekrest Electronic Ear Muffs – Black Carbon Fibre

Can't tell you anything about the Xtreme Gear brand; have seen a bunch of products under this brand popping up on the WhatsApp groups lately.

Can I suggest you take a look at the following:-
    - Walker Razors Passive
    - Earmor M30

I believe these are the "best" passive (non-electronic) options under R1000 that offer acceptable performance.

Likely other brands too but none come to mind at the moment.

If you can afford to splash out a bit more on a good set of electronic earmuffs, then you really should.
    Hearing loss sucks.

Couldn't agree more. A few of my peers already need hearing aids to get by. Eye and earpro are 'non budget' and non negotiable items for me.

Jaa for me personally I've got so accustomed to the electronic function and the reduce sound function that I simply cannot shoot without it, I have to turn it on. I would love a pair of the electronic in ear ones with the same reduce sound function, but hell the prices are insane, seems like the AXIL XCOR PRO are the most reasonably priced, but it's not reasonable for me LOL.

Just saw this on a WhatsApp group, might be worth checking the reviews on it, if you are able to find any.

I used them for a short while when my go to set of muffs broke . Im not a fan of electronic muffs and i usually double plug anyway . They were not bad for the Rands spent and have been donated to a new shooter and still in use a year later . I replaced them with peltor x5's .
