Does the M300T model cut out OR reduce/suppress the sound of the shots, regarding handgun and shotgun, with my Peltor Sport Tac the sound of shots are reduced / suppressed meaning that I can hear the shot going off, the action of my handgun, PCC, the steel impact etc, the sound of shots are not cut out / off they're only reduced, so a "spicy" round or even a low charged round is easily identified.
I can only answer you when i have them and have used them, but i will let you know.

I ordered online from Futurama for the same price as Take a Lot. I wanted black and could only find the coyote on TA.

Thanks @ady, looking forward to your review on them.

Slightly higher NRR and Bluetooth as well.

Don't know about local pricing, but I bought mine off eBay more than a few years ago now. Got the gel cups locally. Liked it so much that I bought a set of my wife - which is to say it's my backup pair ;-)

I started off with a set of passive Peltors and haven't had an issue. Hence I stuck to the brand when upgrading to active. I cannot fault it, and it gets used pretty often.
Does anyone know if the Peltor Tactical 100 or 500's are brought into SA?
I have only ever seen them for sale on US Based sites, and most don't ship to SA

The outlay is enough that I would want local support for them

To my knowledge, it's only Futurama - and that too is a special import once you've paid them.

If you can afford them Sordins are about the best out there for over ear. If you're a real baller and have like 25k the ultimate would be some Ops Core stuff.
It's what the US Military is moving over too from their Sordins.

For the plebs... I guess I've had a set of 3m Peltor Range Masters in use since 2015, and only now are they starting to pack up (which I suspect is a wiring issue, and apparently can be repaired). Swapped out the foam pads for Gel about 4 years ago.

I run MSA Sordin's and they are excellent ear pro. I got mine for a steal about 8 years ago, still running the same battery...

I used the M300T for the first time today on an indoor range. I couldn't make the match on Saturday that is outside. I mention this, because there is the sound of the extractor fans in the background.

They must be the most comfortable ear muffs i have ever worn. They don't push on your head too much, so i don't think a headache from a full days use will be a problem. For me they suppressed the sound of the shots being fired. The ear muffs have 3 settings. Ambient sound, clear voice and focus. Focus is supposed to amplify the sound of your bullet hitting the target, but being on a indoor range, i couldn't tell.

I could easily talk while someone was shooting the stage. One thing i did find, is sound is very tiny (as in tin the metal not tiny as in small) when the volume is turned up, but dropping the volume solved that issue. I also spent a lot of time toggling between the different modes to try and find one i liked.

The quality of sound when you have Bluetooth connected and listening to music is amazing, but i didn't use this function on the range today.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the update @ady much appreciated, at R999-00 currently with the sound suppression function, gel pads included and Bluetooth, this would be a great replacement for my Peltors, or a great recommendation for a new purchase.
