I'm with James Reeves on this, I guess I'm also more of a "Glock Traditionalist", regarding the modularity of the FCU, frame etc..

As James's explained and demonstrated, technically it is modular, if you have a G19 and G17 you can swap the frames and slides around.

The best thing is, it takes Glock magazines LOL

The new optics mounting system is better, but I was hoping for more modularity.

Cat amongst the pigeons, after having played with the Ruger RXM at Camdix and with magpul now shipping a G45 style grip and a G26 grip coming soon (plus they're cheap), that's where glock should have gone.

Some random thoughts.
Does the G6 have the same ndlc coating as the 5?
Is the barrel a modification of the G5's "marksman" barrel or new altogether?

Given that the Gen V modifications are present on the G6, it would seem that the changes to counter the glock switch wasn't really a knee jerk reaction. Does that mean the Gen V was planned as an in-place replacement for the G5 from the start?

Drop in trigger modules? Is this the path to P320?
Apparently it has a P320-style takedown i.e.: no trigger pull necessary
Replacement frames; again sounds very P320ish

Looks good but it's probably going to be pretty expensive when it arrives here.

Interested to see what the Glock 26 Gen 6 looks like in 6-12 months, I might be keen on an upgrade if they manage to fit a rail on it (similar to the old 30S).

Glock, 3 800 mean rounds between stoppage according to TFBTV Glock 6 video. Beretta 92 is 17 500. Glock,a pistol made as cheaply as possible to meet the absolute minimimum reliability. You even have to replace the sights because they are plastic and wear down over time. This version is change for change sake. It adds nothing but because its a Glock it will sell.The Gen 4 already had a very grippy texture. The fact that the barrel locks on the ejector port front ledge means that the barrel has to tilt more to unlock than say a Colt, Browning or even CZ which has lugs cut into the barrel which mate to the slide. Possibly explains the poor MRBS on the Glock.The move back to a single spring likely means that it will be even snappier with +p+ ammunition than the Glock 4 or 5 already is compared to say a PX4. The only positive is the new red dot mounting but even that still seems backward looking instead of in any way innovative. Raises the question of what happened to the COA mounting combination that was the new Glock hotness not that long ago.

For real? I thought Aziza (CHS guns) was at the official event in overseas-land; hence the video she shot.
Didn't think it would be in the country already - what with our highly respectable customs officials holding the information to themselves.
