So I guess by now most interested parties would have already had a chance (or two) to shoot this latest iteration.

I’m neither a trigger fundi nor a pistol marksman by any means, but from the little time I’ve spent shooting the new Gen 6, I have to say that I quite like it.

And this is coming from someone who originally joined this forum as an "anything but Glock" kind of person.

Not sure if there's enough in it though between the Gen 5 and the Gen 6 to warrant an upgrade, but certainly if you've got one of the older Gen's.
It, of course, has to be first choice for new shooters looking for their first EDC handgun.
I've thus far managed to avoid getting inducted into the Janik tribe but I imagine the fact that so many new shooters are opting for Canik over Glock might just be a reason why the pricing on the new model is a lot closer to the Gen 5 prices.

Don't think anyone has a reason to doubt the quality of the materials, the consistency in the manufacturing processes and the durability over sustained, long-term use.

I would say it's a winner out the gate; but the market has changed and the competition is holding its own.

Ultimately it's a Glock and it will sell; but how well will it fair against the new challengers?
