Yes. Anti smash film do help. Do take note. There are 2 types of installers.

The one that open the door, close the window, stick protective screen on and cut along edges. With time this comes loose at the corners tend to collect dirt and start to roll up with cleaning. looks ugly in the corners.

The other installer remove the window, cover the whole window around the edges and refit window. The one that makes sure every bolt and nut is in place and every thing is working as before

OK, maybe 3 types of installers. The 3rd one remove the window, cover the whole window around the edges and refit window. But he forget to fit all the window mounting bolt or dont tighten everything. Then with time as you close or open the window, the window frame gets skew and start to bent the whole window guide and frame. Asked me, had 2 vehciles of family members that were like that that with the cost of a new window regulator frame.

Thanks, I'll go somewhere reputable and keep a close eye on the process.

Glad it was of assistance Cardinal.

    Ignore the above advice.
No competent installer will remove the windows from a car to apply tint, besides contamination, the additional time would make this impractical even if it resulted in a better finished product, which it would not.
Door panels or rubber gaskets might be removed, but windows will not be removed although the finished product might make you assume they were, as the tint is installed past the sealing edges.

You on the right track with a Llumar approved installer, they warranty the product so they won't take shortcuts as they will be redoing it for free.
