500m + ranges around GP

Not sure if there is a similar post but looking for ranges in and around GP where you can go past 500m?

See now Rooihuiskraal goes up to 700m, but think Krokodilspruit only up to 500m

As I am also moving into this realm - requiring a range beyond 500m - I note there is a range in Hartebeespoort called IDIBI Range.
They apparently have a range with gongs going out to 1030 meters.

I have no other info other than what I have read on their website, not sure if any of the GS members have been there before?

Krokodilspruit is only up to 500m, but it's a fun range to sit at. Decent benches, ROs are VERY strict, and they have a variety of gongs up all the way up to 500m.

Nice setup, you book a range for the morning or afternoon.

2 x 200m ranges
2 x 300m range
1 x 450m range
2 x 500m range
1 x 1000m range

All ranges have target stands, you need your own targets, but they also have gongs on the ranges every 100m.

Also look at The Wattle Shooting Range at Danielsrust Game farm, Krugersdorp. They have various ranges up to 1000m with gongs every 100m.

I used to despise it - I ain't stupid, after all. And then I had an incident at SWAT shooting (the one that's now closed), and I very quickly learned to LOVE the strict ROs.

For me it's either VERY strict RO's on a range with other people, or just me alone (with family or friends) at a range, with no ROs (no ROs needed). That's my preference.

Can't use a muzzle brake at Kroko-volkak-spruit.. place won't ever see me again.. if all other ranges close, I would rather move to the UK than go to that shithole again.
