    Thanks @Tayls, that definitely helps.

    I also came across PDPC that is a division of SADPA. I know that they only do handgun shoots (it's in their name), but they are way more affordable than the other clubs. Besides only shooting handgun events, how do they compare with the other clubs discussed above already?

    In short, they don't. PDPC is not an IPSC club. Instead they shoot IDPA or one of the break-away sports, perhaps MPDS.

    Despite the name, they also shoot rifle and shotgun... but none of it is IPSC.

    With the cost of ammo and training, the membership is the drop in the bucket......

    Shhh, don't scare new members away pls. Let them first get hooked and then it is too late.

    It comes down to the old question: will I save money if I reload. The answer is NO, you'll just shoot more. LoL
