Purchase a rifle not yet licensed

Hi all,

I am currently looking to purchase a rifle from a private seller. My only concern is that they are still waiting for the licence for that rifle to be issued to them first. They have the rifle on a storage permit.

Is there a mechanism for me to apply for the licence or is it best to wait for the licensed to come through and only then start the process for me?

They can cancel the application, but it'll actually just be simpler just to wait for the licence to be approved before you apply.
