Wierdabrug DFO times

Hey guys. Struggling myself to near-death trying to get hold of Wierdagbrug DFO.

Can anyone tell me what the current timeslots and days are that I can hand in a competency application?

If you happen to have working contact info, that would be an awesome bonus.

Thanks man, appreciate it. They only have an open booking slot on the 7th of may. Crazy. Last time I went through this whole process, competency and license was done at the same time, and you could just pitch up there. How things have changed.

The "booking" system is nothing more than a way for lazy DFO's to titrate work down to the bare minimum whilst still appearing to be functional.

My DFO takes less than 10 minutes to take in an app. That time includes the time he spends in argument with me about whether i need to renew my competency - I don't.

A mate went to apply for his "appointment" yesterday at the Umhlali DFO only to be told the earliest date he can get is in August...Station Commander nowhere to be found.

The booking system was implemented here during Covid, to limit contact with the disease and they have just stuck with it. It also seems that appointments are only during the morning at my DFO and then you get there for your appointment and the guy is out.

Phones also don't get answered, so you have the pleasure of driving to the station to make an appointment as well.

So pray tell, what are you going to do about it?
Considering that the DFo has a significant input into whether or not a license is approved, it seems like a bad idea to me to antagonize them.

I would continue looking for the station commander, who by the way is also a dfo by law
