30-06 case identity
Hi.
I have a few of these cases. Does anyone know the identity.
They are all boxer primers as well.
Thanks.

Yeah easily identifiable as milsurp from the laqcuered primers to keep water out.

Re: 30-06 case identity
Out of my lane here but I agree on it being milsurp. The LCXX cases are probably Lake City manufacture with the digits indicating date. SLXX might be Saint Louis Ordnance plant.

Re: 30-06 case identity
The Lake City 1965 was Vietnam era ammo, probably for m1 garand or M1919 30 cal machine guns. Those were used early in the war.
The SL 1957 is rare, I have never seen any here in the States. St Louis was mainly for WW2 production then they closed it, then opened it backup for the Korean war, closed it again then reopened it again for the Vietnam war. It was dismantled in the early 1990s.
The LC is quality military brass. I get LC surplus when I can in 5.56, 7.62x51 and 30-06 for reloading. LC also makes 7.62x51 Match brass I only use that for serious long range stuff.
