Greetings everyone.

So I purchased a new Holosun ARO (2 MOA) red dot version last year (July 2025) for my SAI (Spartan Arms International) PCC chambered in 9mm with a 9 inch barrel.

I've been happy with the RDS so far, it was easy to zero (25 meters), I've slapped some gongs at 100 meters with ease, I've done multiple IPSC club matches etc.

However a couple of Sunday's ago when I went to the range, I noticed a weird "streaking / smudge" effect, kind of hard to explain exactly.

I've done very limited research on this, but I've come across a few posts on Reddit about this similar issue. I will try and see if I can solve this defect by changing out to a new battery, clean it properly, play around with the brightness and settings etc.

Just reaching out here as to see if there's perhaps another Holosun ARO user on here that has experienced similar issues.

Furthermore, If I cannot "fix" this issue I will be visiting Dave Sheer for advice or replacement, maybe I got a lemon out of the batch, and just a FYI I've not been hard on the RDS at all I've actually been very careful with it.
