2025/ 2026 Section 21 Success

Hey guys,

Looking at doing a Section 21 and i can't seem to find any recent posts mentioning success - is it worth attempting this at all these days? I was previously successful about 12 years ago..

My understanding was that SAPS stopped issuing them, haven't seen anyone posting approvals for a s21 for the past 3 years.

You need very good reasons. As well as can not have one in same caliber already.

I obtained 2 in total but prior to Covid still.

In both motivated needed to use for upcoming shoots in year and if I waited the 6 months a license took would miss out on whole year. Received both.

3rd one I did maybe 2 years back as I sold one 12g and bought a new one to replace it. They refused and believe it or not said but I currently own a 12g and i can still use it while the buyer of it waits to be approved on it as it was still on my name.
