New .300 Win Mag or .338 Win Mag wanted
Dammit!!
Guns and Bows will only get their new Ruger stock in April. Was going to be January. I don't want to wait any longer..
I'm looking for a .300 or .338.
Was after a synthetic stainless finish.
Anyone know of gunshops around SA with these calibres. I'm looking for a new rifle, of a reputable brand only.
Thanks,
Adrian

I've been advised not to go for the vangard. Pretty much the same as the howa isn't. But the original Weatherby, I don't know much about...

I had a feeling that Surburban were bringing in or had Weatherby Accumark's, but that was a couple months back. It may be worth a try.

Me too....
As I said I had a 30-06 and I found it to be good value for money and it performed 100% and had very good accuracy.
I know they may not be the top rifle but they are surely not at the bottom of the heap.
If it is a case of 'that is not what I want' then so be it as personal preference plays a big role, but I am also interested why the Howa does not feature in your options... hpy180

Just personal preference. Nothing against Howa or Weatherby.

I want to own one of each gun ever made, and I want one in every calibre. However, given the draconian laws, I can't - so the guns I do own I want to try and own the best that's out there. I'm interested in Rugers and Remington's. Perhaps a Brno or some of the others.
So I decidted to go and look at the Remington's at Safari Outdoor this morning, but I couldn't find the place. ??? Ended up having lunch in Stellenbocsh.
