The training cert was used when I applied for my competency. If my competency was invalid, then my renewal should've been rejected. So this is all CFR bullshit again. FFS it's time to immigrate.

I'm not claiming to have the solution, but the info might help...

I had the old HG, SG, Rifle and HMC competencies.

When I renewed them they were automatically updated (By FRC I assume?) to HG, SG, Manually Operated Rifle and Self Loading Rifle.
I asked the DFO at Brooklyn about this and she said it is done automatically. Perhaps speak to another DFO?

However, I've just had my MSR application and appeal refused because my competency was issued under the old unit standard. AFAIK this is total bullshit. Surely there has to be some recourse, seeing as I complied fully with the stipulated requirement outlined in the FCA 2000, back in 2006/2007. Now keep in mind that I've previously had 4 MSR's licenses approved and issued under the same rifle competency.

Any advice on what to do here? I'm SICK and fuckn tired of CFR's incompetence, apathy and plain fuckn stupidity.
Take the appeal outcome on judicial review.

Thank you M43, I'll speak to my DFO (she's pretty clued up and is always very helpful) and another Captain I know who is a DFO as well.
