Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Remaining steps are:
Received at licensing section
In preparation for consideration
In for consideration
Approved/Refused
I've been at "Received at licensing section" since 12/06. Some people have been sitting there since March with no movement. A bit frustrating to say the least.

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Thanks, and ditto.
Been checking this:
https://www.saps.gov.za/services/fir...us_enquiry.php
Almost daily since I've handed it in 13 Oct 2020 after a 2 month wait for an "appointment" to see the DFO.
Probably a stupiud question, but the ref number is the full "SAP86/****/****" I'm assuming?

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
As above mentioned(your Reference no,also keep your slip as proof for when needed),.starts with a capital C then with 7 digits,.then followed by your Id no(to be used in conjunction on the Webpage of Saps).,if you did not recieve a sms like me & many others make a follow up with your Dfo ASAP otherwise the wait will & can torture you.
Best of luck.

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
I have been trying to contact the CFR call center on all the numbers that I have for these guys and there is either no answer or you stay holding for up to 15min and is then just cut off. The funny thing is that once a number rings and is unanswered it is then unavailable for about a day. This has been like this for about the last 10 days.
Unfortunately my application I have not received any SMSes for and was told by the same call center to contact them once a month to follow up on the application. Seems however that since about 15 Dec 2020 nobody has gone back to the office or been manning the phones.
Local DFO also just pulls up their shoulders. Is there any way to follow up if the application does not show on the app and you dont receive the SMSes?
Seems I am getting screwed as is the norm with licencing.
Last update beginning November was that it is under consideration...
