Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
The strange thing is I can still access my account. Maybe they didn't like my motivationals??? Time to move to photobucket again and revive that account.

What other options are there than photobucket and imageshack? I'm to lazy to google."He who makes a beast of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man…"

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Can someone PLEASE HELP ME? I submitted my competency and self defence pistol application on 16 September 2011. Competency was approved on 21 December. The call centre tells me that my pistol application has been at the consideration commity since 5 January....How long should I still expect to wait? They can't give me an answer. I am starting to think my application has been lost...The wait for my GLOCK 19 is KILLING ME!!!!
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks a million

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Dude, best post an intro please, else the "Intro Police" will have something to say. Its standard practice on this forum to intro yourself first in any case.
Anyway, to me the progress of your application looks pretty good. It definitely hasn't gotten lost yet. It took them 104 days from when my competency was approved to just start on my licence application. My numbers were as follows:
Paid in full for P30: 28 March 2009
Submitted application for new licence and competency: 31 July 2009
Competency approved: 6 April 2010
Licence Approved: 20 Jan 2011
Licence Card collected from SAPS: 4 April 2011
Good luck with the wait. Keep following up with the call centre and make a noise if it sits more than a month in any one spot (although it can sit for more than three months at a time).

Just pop over to the intro section and start your own thread.
Just an FYI... my comp took just shy of 5 years... the licence handed in with it... a few weeks! But chin up... I hear they are going quicker now. Bloody well hope so as I handed in a new app last Friday ;)

Thanks!I read somewhere that the police has reached an agreement with some organisation that comp apps have to be approved or denied within 4 months and this agreement has been made a court order by the north gauteng high court...sounds plausible, since myself and 2 friends had our comps approved after just more than 3 months...good luck with the new application...heard of a guy who waited only a month...lets hope you have the same luck!
