Colt 1851 Navy kit
Got my kit Colt 1851 Navy.
In the rough.
Almost there, frame and back strap/trigger guard filed down, smoothed, blued. Quite a bit of work.....
Finished
With the 1860 Army
Got asked the question by a local, why didn't I get it in .45. The reason was the originals were .36 and why does everything have to be like texas?????????

Re: Colt 1851 Navy kit
It is done by just dabbing on blue and browning, after polishing. Do it after heating in the oven till about 50. The factory Pietta finish, I believe, is also a chemical treatment. I was also going to do areas with Q5, which would parquerise like naval jelly, but just did it as above.

Hi, Did You Import it Yourself? What Forms and Paper work did You Need to Get it into the Country.
I'm getting one from the states, and need to know what the Import Rangle is. A Friend is going to the BLADE
Show in Atlanta and will be bringing it back for Me.

Re: Colt 1851 Navy kit
Not sure what the official import procedure is now, as the BP rules and those for cap and ball revolvers are changing. You will need to license these revolvers shortly. The only thing I now you make require is filling out of ITAC forms etc. To bring back in person as well could add more complexity.
