.40 SW Snapcaps
Can anyone refer me to a dealer in the Pretoria/Jo'burg area that stock .40 cal snapcaps, or somewhere I can order online. I can get a 5-pack from Brownells for about $17- but if I can get locally, all the better.
Thanks

I found that Camp Shop stocks, but not in .40SW. E-Mailed them about it...

Found some on Wantitall.co.za

At that price I might consider just getting the ones from Brownells. Anyways, if anyone is looking for any snap caps, they can order online locally from http://www.wantitall.co.za/a-zoom-snap-caps/All/p1

You don't need them for your GLOCK.

Re: .40 SW Snapcaps
Want to use them for malfunction drills. Thinking of just getting dummy rounds instead. Seems more cost effective...

Re: .40 SW Snapcaps
Far more cost effective. They get beaten to shit doing malfunction drills. Get a bag of dummies instead.

Re: .40 SW Snapcaps
Hey Bok,
Ya no i decided to settle for plain ol' dummy rounds instead. Makes economical sense, seeing as I will probably be moering half of them away in the first week, and breaking the rest shortly after.
Thanks for caring though...here, have a toffee....
Hehe...sorry, I just couln't resist the toffee thing.....

If you're still looking for snap caps, I ordered a box of .40's from Centurion Indoor Shooting in, erm, well, Centurion :-P

Re: .40 SW Snapcaps
Just a question, do you buy dummy rounds or make them yourself?
I did a quick google and know now what the ones being sold looks like, but I guess you could just load a bullet in a un-primed case without propellant and it will serve the same purpose?

Re: .40 SW Snapcaps
That's the plan, but use a case with a spent primer, so as to give the firing pin something to strike against.
Also, make the case destinctive, i.e. drill a hold on the side or something to not mix it up with a live round.
