I cant say you can get that price any time of the month or day.. But its available now and then
from Paul you may get #9's for even cheaper than that and believe me, its 100% for 3 gun..

Proshot in Pretoria is worth a try ( I mention Im a SAHunters member)..

No shame in being a scrounger. I'll also be picking up my own doppies when I get into the swing of things again.

I have all the reloading equipment so I might as well put it to good use again. Compared to the UK. (R300 odd for 250 steel shot no 7, 28grams) SA ammo is very expensive. I still have to get used to that. Hence the reason to reload my own stuff. I'm still waiting for my license, I know it is approved so no rush. I am still also not sure how much I'll be shooting. I have almost always rolled my own, (never in UK though) but years ago I was shooting hundreds of rounds a week so it was easy to justify reloading.

Eg You can buy #7 12g ammo for R500 per case of 250..
Primers are minimum 50c and powder also 50c.. So you gotto get shot, labour and get a damn good crimp going and I cant see you beating that price... ...
I must agree did some lets call it "research" a couple of years ago... A friend of mine lived in country getting components was always an issue, then it was primers then wads/cups then shot... I tried to help getting the stuff.

Trying the reloads in the field.... the results were not always good. Checking the pattern on paper usually explained the poor results. Putting more/or less powder for example was not always the solution and since wads may be an issue to get hold of at the particular time it could not just be changed. Just naming some problems

Too much nonsense in my books....

If you're interested,I made shot for the last 12yrs. And it is not that difficult! I developed my own shotmaker that puts out about 30kgs/ hr with nice clean prepared lead. No 5's, 3's what ever you prefer?
I'm out of the wing shooting circuit being in Komatipoort, but if the demand is there I'm prepared do a couple kilos for the needy.

    Send me a mail@ dan.cato@bhpbilliton.com

To pay R40 - R50 a kilo and only do 33rnds with it is not worth it!
