Thanks Tau. It is a horrible experience. My advice, keep your chin up, get a hold of that refusal letter from the DFO at earliest convenience, it can sometimes take up to month, begin the process of appeal through a competent legal practitioner. Never give up.

Thanks man, I will definitely put an appeal through because I'm sure it's a generic reason for the refusal. I will never give up on these types of things because that's exactly what Cele and his crowd wants, to make it very difficult and a pain in the ass to license firearms, in order to have a "gun-free South Africa" if you can believe it!

Ja wat...

Can't think which documentation they are referring to. Crime stats were included. I used this same app in 2013 and it was successful.

Anyway, reapply I shall.

No. New application. I sold my Sec 13 a while back, and only replaced it last year.

Yo Killzone... Reapply? Is there a difference between "reapply" and "appeal".. i mean in the time it takes to resolve? Also, what is the process?

Yes there is. Depending on what mood the Appeal-board is it can take longer than a new application. I can't re-apply as the original licence expired in Feb. And appeal is not financially viable for this firearm. Although that would've been my only option.
