The sexiest thing on two legs!

I am looking around to have a picatiny rail fitted to my .44 Magnum ...

The whole idea is to be able to stil shoot open sights by looking through the rail... (So the rail will have to be V or U shaped)

I've even seen the front sight mounted on these picatiny rails..

Then I can quick release the scope and still use it with the open sights...

Talk to the silhouette shooting guys, they will point you in the right direction. They use similar to switch between events, mainly on fixed bbl systems. Keeps zero nicely. Would mean drilling into your topstrap of the barrel though..
Would the extra weight on the interchangable barrel system of the Dan Wesson not be a problem?
