Gunsmith
I hope this is the correct place to ask this question, otherwise I hope one of the moderators will move it for me.
I would like to know what are the requirements necessary as well as the steps one would need to go through to register as a gunsmith?

Re: Gunsmith
Id say you have to be not a day older than 12 , and you should have the license when you turn 54 so you can work 10 years still on a retirement package !

Re: Gunsmith
There is a unit standard for Firearms Maintenance - http://pcqs.saqa.org.za/showQualification.php?id=49739
I may not be correct in saying this but I think that this is the training that will be required before SAPS will register you as a gunsmith, although nobody has been accredited to provide this training.
