    Default Black Coated CRKT

    I'm looking at getting the CRKT Mini My Tighe today, but I'm a bit stuck between the stainless steel or black coated finish.

    Is it worth taking the coated version, or will it just start looking like crap 3 months down the line, how resilient is the coating to everyday use, etc.

    Youre not going to see the black coating when you stick it into some scumbags eye socket.

    I don't have that particular knife but in my experience the coatings don't really last.

    CRKT blade coating is better than average...

    ...but I can't argue with the eye-socket observation.
