So it happened…..

Got word that a friend was shot, on Monday.

Details on the actual events are sketchy.

He was hit in the face.
The bullet ran along his jawbone and has lodged in his neck, in the vicinity of the artery.

He was airlifted to hospital & is being kept sedated so that the swelling can recede before any surgery can be carried out.

His dog, an Alsatian , was shot & killed.

The Wife, is traumatized, but kept her wits and called for help.

I post many stories of crime etc
The problem is that you/me may fall into the trap of believing that such violence happens to “others”

It is thus a reminder to all of us, to be vigilant, develop the correct mind & skill set through good training.

You owe it to your family to get home, each day, every day.

Very good friends of ours were 'home invaded' in Linden (Jhb) last week. No (physical) injuries though.

Some folks who patrol with me on my CPF were shot at few weeks back. The guy heard the neighbor screaming. As he opened the door the BG let off 2 shots at him. Both missed his head by a few cm's. Thankfully no harm to anyone.
