My G27 is fooked :(

I took my G27 to Mister BigT today for an overhaul/service, meprolights etc. Its a '95 model with about 20000 rnds and never had a proper service but I still got a shock.
To cut a long story short its in a bad way. There are various issues but the main issue is a cracked chamber which needs to go back to Autria for repair.
This means a 4k bill, export permit and no gun for 6 weeks - I have no back-up.
After 15yrs of daily carry Im going to feel a bit strange to say the least.
I hope Murphy doesn't strike.
I reckon my missus is going to have to carry her 9mmS.
Any pointers ?
BTW - BigTs got a honeymoon tan - you know the one - a tanned stripe down the centre of the face from going to the curtains and peeping through a gap

Glock/bernhard agencies will look after you though.

This highlights the need for sticking to a proper maintenance regime including cleaning, stripping, inspection and preventative parts replacement like springs etc.

Makes that R400 recoil spring assembly look cheap round about now doesnt it.

my 18 yr old G20 has been "invited " by the T for a make over as well.

Send it dude. The bad news you may get is not as bad as the potential consequences - including (as described by BigT - wiping your ass with a hook when your cracked chamber fails lol).

No KK. But it is a calibre that seems to sit on the ragged edge.

I recently took possession of my G17 and took it to T for a makeover, as I had no idea if it had ever been serviced. He detail stripped it and replaced every single spring. I feel a lot more confident with it now.

BGL, IMO I would temporarily shelve your plans for tritium sights or any extra goodies until you have your piece in reliable working condition
