    Angry Glock 19 slide stuck?

    Hi guys

Had fun murdering paper targets yesterday and when I got home I tried to disassemble the G19 for a cleaning. My problem is the slide won't come off? I depress the slide lock as usual and pull back the slide but when moving it forward it goes about 10mm then sticks. I've disassembled it quite a few times now and have never had this problem. Any ideas please? It cycles no problem as it is now, just can't take it apart.

Thanks in advance for any advice posted. The bloody gun is acting like my 6yr old daughter who doesn't want to have a bath! lol

    Jason

Did you pull the trigger before pulling down on the slide lock? (after making sure the weapon was unloaded ,of course)
    Sorry for asking the obvious..

yep...nothing wrong with asking, I've had people tell me their comp was broken but they didn't turn on the plug at the wall!! lol Always love those ones ;) I've done the same procedure as usual but just doesn't want to release.

But can you rack the slide back?

As you would chamber a round?

    Very weird...
Perhaps have it checked out ASAP instead of forcing it... just now something goes bump...

Yeah I'll pop dow the the local GS and see if they can sort it out. Was hoping it would be one of those "obvious" problems. Thanks anyway

i had a similar problem when i assembled my pistol without putting the recoil spring in (i did it on purpose as i like fiddling so dont laugh please :) ) - I had to hold the trigger all the way back before the slide would come forward. dont know why, thats just what happened??

I think the recoil spring rod might be out of alignment.and now its hanging on the frame.
