With Airsoft you can also do the dot torture in your backyard/garage. I do.

I have to give a big thumbs up to Greengear for their fast and efficient service. I emailed them late yesterday to enquire about if and when the G19 would be available. I recieved a reply first thing this morning- apparently their website was incorrect in saying they were out of stock. I also enquired about EFT payment since I don't have a CC to buy through the website, no problem at all.

Just recieved an email with the tracking number, my G19 replica has been dispatched already. Total cost, R379 incl shipping.

    Hi P2W.

In my opinion the gas operated airsoft 19 would work well for all your applications with the exception of the combatives training. You can use the airsoft for combatives but I think there is a greater chance that it can be damaged or break during serious training. I don't know how expensive airsoft G19s are but I suspect it would be more than the R500 a blue / orange / grey gun would cost and the latter will survive just about any abuse you can throw at it. I recently bought myself a CZ75 blue gun for use in combatives training and it works well for that application. Cost was R565 from Rescomp in Pretoria.

I know where you can get a G17 grey gun for R385 if you are interested. This is the Blackhawk range of training guns. The G19 grey guns are currently out of stock. If you need a training gun for combatives urgently the G17 grey gun might work for you. Send me a PM if interested so that I can point you to the relevant people. (Nothing in it for me, just willing to supply a fellow gun owner with information!)

If P2W is not interested I will supply the info to anyone else that might be interested.

thanks Rudes! I got a G19 "yellow" gun from greengear fro R300 excl postage. I haven't been able to place it side by side with a real G19 yet, but based on measuring and looking at specs online, I suspect it may be a tiny bit smaller. its definatley a lot lighter.

If you want some real 1:1 ratio on weight and operation try real action markers they cycle like a real pistol, they can even throw out real brass. :)
I have a glock 17 replica weight action and even trigger operation feels the same.
