They are getting excellent reviews from the guys who like CZs and are being used by quite a few in IPSC from what I understand. I know a couple of guys who have bought the standard models for IDPA as well IIRC, so there must be something good about them. I have never seen one in person, nor am I a huge CZ fan (I like the guns, they just don't fit me worth a damn) so that is about all I know at the moment. The Shadow has the polymer frame IIRC.

i have the SHADOW and the PHANTOM

i am not the IPSC type more IDPA type , the SHADOW is more IPSC..

its an excellent gun , well made , very nice sight set up with the fibre optic front etc.

lovely trigger with brilliant DA and superb SA and short reset.

very nice mag capacity . BUT

i prefer the PHANTOM except for that dreadful decocker option and DA first shot.

with the identical ammo the PHANTOM shoots tighter groups at 20m .

Well no guesses as to what my opinion is. Its not a Glock but Cz has made very few bad pistols. I just don't know if this model. I would test on thoroughly before I bought it but bear in mind I rate Glock as the top of class working pistol so my construct is always to compare to the Glock. Speak with Mike he knows Cz's very well
I am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!

The Shadow is gaining popularity in IPSC for Production Gun division. I have not shot one myself but have handled them 'dry' and have seen them in action. They fit the hand quite nice and they seem to operate quite nice. I would not consider it top be a EDC gun as it is heavy and just does not seem to me to be a EDC gun but that is my opinion. To me it is a competition gun and I would not mind having one in my safe.

I played with one a while ago in a gunshop in the Boland. It fitted my hand, felt/looked well put together and was about 9k or 12k, something.

If I had the money, I'd buy one. It really was a good feel I got from it & I have always liked the CZ platform.
