hk p2000 .40
i came across a hk p2000 .40 subcompact. I LOVE IT!!! When i pointed it at a mark on the wall i knew that this was THE 40 that i NEED to have. Do any of you guys have experience with them? Can i use USP mags in it? Is spares available for it?

Piet
I have one with the LEM trigger in 9mm and also love it, despite the fact that I also love my several Glocks. Yes, USPc mags will work just fine in it...or at least they will for the US version, but not the full size USP mags. In .40 it is one of the most chosen Federal LE pistols in America today and has proven itself over and over.
Can't say about the mag interchangibility or spares in SA, of course, but my guess would be the situation is not too bad. On HKPro there was a thread from Greg Bell about him putting around 13-14,000 rounds through his without a single bobble (9mm)...they are great pistols.Run Fast, Bite Hard!

Re: hk p2000 .40
12 rounds in .40, (13 in 9mm) but yes here it will...not so sure about the Euro H&Ks. I know, for instance that the US P30 mags (15 round) will also fit the P2000 here but not the Euro version, so double check first.

Wat would you chose? A USP compact or a p2000 and why?

Re: hk p2000 .40
USP mags are NOT interchangable with their compact versions
the models after the USP range corrected that , what i call a "FUP"

Re: hk p2000 .40
i love the USP, i have two compacts, one in 40SW and one in .45ACP, if going for compact id choose the USP, if sub compact, you will have to go P2000SK as the USP did not ever make a sub-compact. If they did id have one in 9mmP, 40SW and 45ACP happy0065
a major oops on their side if u ask me, id have bough and supported a USP subcompact if it were true to the full and compact USP's
