Those pretty much covered it IMO. Would rather buy a CRKT or save my money and buy a Swiss Army Knife.

That's right, thank you guys. I love my little CRKT M16 but if I had the cash I would go for the Kershaw Skyline.

    Keep well,

I have also bought Kershaw before, but Gortek are cheapies that look reasonable and have good steel. For a working knife I dont think they will let you down. My carry knife is a Victorinox and they have good steel and satisfy most of my needs. The Kershaws that I have dont really impress when it comes to staying sharp.

I had a GORTEX before, they may not be top of the range but is functional enough for every day use. I replaced it with a CRKT Thunderbolt (lake design) after it was stolen, and I am loving the CRKT. It is exceptional value for the price.

My advise for what it is worth, have a look at the cost of the GORTEX you want to buy, and if it is anywhere in the ballpark of R 300.00 go with the CRKT.
