With regards to a combat knife with a ceramic blade... I can't think that will work very well seeing that they are very fragile, intended for vegetables, not combat.

I would personally prefer a good steel blade over any sort of ceramic knife for combat applications. Ceramic blades can be very well and are extremely sharp but they will be brittle and the edge, to my mind, could chip or the blade snap.

I do however stand to be corrected.
