Voter apathy!
I am chatting to a bloke, and mention the election & voting & ask him if he is going to vote.
He tells me that he has moved from suburb A to suburb B and has not registered to vote in his new suburb (about 15-20km apart)
He ordinarily drives 30km to work every day anyway!
I can just hear apathy in his tone of voice when it comes to making the effort to go and vote on the day!
Recent studies show that 1 out of every 3 liberals are just as dumb as the other 2

Re: Voter apathy!
Hahaha! Just an aside here... I cant remember being frisked or passing through a metal detector last elections, but are the polling stations supposed to be "gun-free"? I intend on carrying like normal, but I just don't want to be searched or anything...

Re: Voter apathy!
IIRC it is illegal to carry a weapon at an election point or rally, etc.

Re: Voter apathy!
yeah I think it is, but I also don't recall any security measures apart from a few bored cops milling around their vehicles nearby. I'm in a similar situation where I moved recently, but I damn sure will be driving the 20 kms to go vote. remember you can sms your ID number to 32810 to find out where you are registered, or visit

really quick and simple to do
