Re: carry knife
Either my DPX HEST folder which I carry for outdoor activities (and other when I want to) or my SOG Aegis.
Both have a similar clip design that sits the knife deep in the pocket.
The Aegis handle design lends itself very well to most all grip possibilities including reverse edge/p'kal. The flat grind of the blade makes it a very good slicer.

Re: carry knife
CRKT M16
I like the size of the blade, sharpish pummel and assisted opening. Also not too expensive.

Re: carry knife
CRKT M16-10Z
Nice size, like the tanto style blade and the clip... this one of mine has been around for 4 or so years and I carry it every day.
The blade was alot darker when I first bought it.Attachment 4804

Re: carry knife
You have to experiment and see what works best for you. Personally, I carry a Coldsteel AK47 and I like the wave action. Emmerson makes lovely knives which also have the wave action integrated but they are very expensive.

Re: carry knife
I use an AK-47 also. Great EDC. For pure SD then CRKT Hissatsu folder is a good option too.

Spyderco Native, one hand opening and very sharp. I use a Japanese waterstone to sharpen my knives.

Re: carry knife
Emerson Mini commander, you'll bleed just looking at it............... yes it is that sharp and goes through a car bonnet without a problem. Is a bit of an effort sharpening the one sided blade and deburring, also the black coating come off with use.

Re: carry knife
I always have my Benchmade 710 D2 on me as my SD and a CRKT Drifter or M16-02Z Tanto as my "cut anything all day pocket/utility knife".
Depending on where I'm going I'll also carry my CRKT M21-14SF on my weak side.
My next knife purchase will be a Kershaw Speed Bump.

Re: carry knife
I rotate a spyderco gayle bradley with a serrated spyderco manix 2 and a cold steel black talon. They are perfect for edc.
