interesting bump-fire stock for AR's
found this via survivalblog.com:
These are legal (in the USA) "bump fire" stocks that slide 1/2-inch, allowing you to very rapidly re-press the trigger, under recoil. The effect sounds just like full auto. It takes a few minutes to get accustomed to controlling the length of bursts. The trick is using a slight forward pressure on the foregrip.
As with full auto, don't expect much accuracy after the second shot in a burst. (I was able to keep two rounds inside a 6 inch circle at 10 yards.) The stock can also be locked in the rearward position, for traditional (non-bump firing) function.
Technically, under U.S. law, they are not full auto, because you are firing the gun semi-auto with individual presses of the trigger.

Machine guns or anything that mimics them draw lots of enemy fire. Not me.

Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.

Why you should get 100 rounders from Surefire.
but on a serious note. Yes, I've never understood the need for full-auto. Most days I have problems keeping stuff on target with semi auto. But there is something primally satisfying about putting the selector on "afrikaans" and letting it rip.
