Re: How to make your IDPA shoot (and everyone else’s) run smoother
Thanks Thorkind, great reminder for a\ll. I also pack nutrition bars and drinks. Saves time on the range when you need to snack. (actually, you need to refuel during the day)

One small other thing : brass picking up is not brass pocketing.
Return it to the shooter, or leave it on the floor / table next to the stage start position.

Excellent post.
The reader will note a number of references to the rule book in the original post.
I cannot stress enough that the new shooter should be fairly familiar with the rules before he starts.
The SO is not there to teach you the rules as you go.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.

Re: How to make your IDPA shoot (and everyone else’s) run smoother
I agree on the prep work up front, two things that I have to elaborate on:
1. Keep the sugar level up before it is your turn to shoot. Chocolate / energy drink. And a deep breath when the SO says: "Shooter Ready?"!!
2. A basic first aid kit. I tend to end up every time with some blood letting.
But then again, that's just me.
