You can check directly on the SAPS website by entering your reference number which begins with a C and is followed by 7 digits after and your ID number.

    https://www.saps.gov.za/services/fir...us_enquiry.php

    Best to check after 8PM.

4 months to get to the provincial dfo, you should have a chat to your station commander.

    Good Afternoon Everyone

I have recently applied for another further competancy.
Yes, I know I should have done them all at once many moons ago, but it is what it is ...

I haven't done this for a few years so I am out of touch about when & where I get the initial comp' application reference number.
Do they even send out SMS' anymore (as I never got one) or do I go back for a cup of tea with the DFO as ask him pretty please for it ?
(Can't phone anyone at Benoni Police station as the phones have been out of order for 3 months)

I'd abviously like this reference so that I can follow up occasionaly to see where I am in yet another long drawn out process.

    Cheers

How long ago did you apply for further competency? If it has been a week or two, then maybe go to your DFO and ask for a reference nr. It will start with a letter "C"

Some do, some don't. I personally didn't get one. Only the approval sms came through with regards to competency
