ACE123 - Im at 97 days now. The last step was 2020/10/08 Correspondence with CRC.
You still quite a few days out

In all fairness not sure how you guys before me have kept your cool.
The arrogance and incompetence that is the whole process astonishes me.

Its the same when renewing your drivers only this is worse.

Seems you have to pay a certain sum to get your stuff.
But oh no if you phone asking where my application is they are quick to remark that you have phoned before. "Oh no, you have offended the mighty CFR"

I have just made peace with the fact that we have a shit show at the CFR and just have to wait it out, it's really frustrating seeing all this crap surface while we are following the process and we get shoved around

This whole thing is a joke!
Bought two new firearms before having my competency and not being aware of the current state of things.
Rushed off after buying the firearms to do my proficiencies, applied for competencies and had license applications in hand too.
DFO said I would be lucky to get my new firearms before the start of 2022.
Bitterly disappointed!!!!

The fact that an application on cost R70 makes it difficult to complain too much.
Wish we could have license application categories...
E.G. fast App - 4 weeks (R2500)
Medium App, Std App, Slow App, etc....

SMS system down. Call for the reference

One of the biggest issues I have was the "You have phoned before" reply I got.

This and then all the cadres being investigated for fraud. Maybe we the public applying for these licenses are not the problem.

Maybe the actual license department is the problem.

My application for competency took 204 working days.
Preparing for license to be ready middle to late next year. December is a write off at the CFR.
