Competency certificate - type description
Apologies if this is a dumb question. I applied for further competency for self loading rifle/carbine, manually operated rifle/carbine and shotgun (I already had a handgun competency). Got the certificate today and it says:
S/L-RIFLE/CARB/PIST CAL CARB/ SHOTGUN/RIFLE
I presume the first part refers to the self loading firearms. What does CAL mean?
And does the CARB/SHOTGUN/RIFLE bit at the end imply the manually operated ones?
Also looks like they’ve added my previous (standalone) handgun competency to this new one. Does this mean I no longer need the old one?

Re: Competency certificate - type description
Looks like "pistol calibre carbine" - cz scorpion type guns.
Don't think your pistol is on here. Only when you renew they will consolidate.

Re: Competency certificate - type description
Ah, OK, I see there was an amendment to the regulations in 2017.

S/L-RIFLE/CARB/PIST CAL CARB: Self-loading rifle or carbine or pistol-calibre carbine;
SHOTGUN...self explanatory
RIFLE - manually operated rifle ......is my take

Re: Competency certificate - type description
Because reasons, shotgun covers both manually operated and semi auto while rifle is split between the two.
