@Wild coast mine moved to consideration yesterday..im expecting approval next week sometime. Can't wait....

I finally got my much awaited sms from the SAPS saying my license has been approved
My DFO is in George, Western Cape
Can anyone from my area tell me in their experience how long it takes to get the actual card from
date of approval? Im guessing it wont be this year.

about 6 to 8 weeks... Maybe you are lucky but I opted to be negative about it so it was a nice surprise when my DFO called me to collect my licence... Enjoy Christmas and before you know it you will have your weapon...I'll submit for a second one in Jan and enjoy this relaxing process again....

It varies. Sometimes the card takes a month to provincial, then another month for the DFO to fetch. And then they still need to capture before you get the notification.

I have had from 2 months to 5.
