You must not have noticed that little smiley at the end of WZ's post. He is a sarcastic bastage but we keep him around for the laughs.

Re: What home invasion experience taught me
i would love to see that guy running for the wall with razor wire after a .308 180gr past thru the glass next to him.
but your going to have some serius over penetration issues with a 308 or 303 especialy the 180gr. i doubt if a 9mm or .40 can compete with that. if their aint no wall behind the bugger, the police will have no bullet for balistics.

THREAD RESURRECTION...!
I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say thanks for sharing. The info and experiences shared here really does help and makes one think twice about how you might approach these situations.

Re: What home invasion experience taught me
Wow, a very interesting read.
Thanks for sharing
Post 1.. And others I'm sure still to read..
Well done is all I can say, and although I haven't read any other posts yet, I'm sure there are allot of interesting stories I can learn from..
I have survived a home invasion which lasted over 4 hours and my wife was pregnant at the time..
What I learned is..
Put your glasses on before leaving your room and don't leave the gun in a safe...
This wasn't a habit of mine, but I was living at my in laws with a strict no gun role at the time...
I surprised them and they took 3 shots at me... An angel deflected all the bullets but one which only nicked my arm.. (The BG was less than 2m from me)
That was the start of the ordeal.. I was so effected its taken me 11 years to take up my sport again as well as plan on having an sd FA on my person again.. (Purchase done and licencing applied in June)
Now to convince my wife to at least learn to shoot... She is completely against them...
I like your level of teamwork and I think that that really gives you the edge on defending your family...
