Default how can I check on the progress of my competency?

I had my competency interview with Pinetown (KZN) SAPS on Friday the 22nd of July 2011.

got an SMS the following Wednesday the 27th July saying my Competency certificate is receiving attention at the DFO. do not reply to this sms.

got another sms on 2nd August saying it was receiving attention at the Provincial DFO.

I was excites to see movement in such a short timeframe, but since then, nothing. it's now just over 2 months later. since I cannot reply to the sms, how can I check on the progress? Thanks in advance

no worries-when you call,be polite altho the person on the other end may not be deserving of such kindness and call often.once a day everyday or every 2nd day.

yup, I always try my best to be polite when dealing with call centre staff. grievance are not directly their fault but they have to put up with pissed off rude people all day. being polite does wonders.

why is it necessary to call so often? does it really speed up the processing? I thought all competencies had to be done within 4 months anyway as per court order.

as per the court orde does not mean that will be done. Reason i called every week was to get an update to check it didnt get stuck somewhere, and once in a while you might stumble across someone who will be willing to go the extra mile and do their job and try to help you out.

Be sure to call late at night. They work 24/7 and then you are never put on hold like during the day.
