What do you want it for?

The Bok is a big fan of Stars I am not really but they work okay. Spares could be an issue. If you are looking for a SD gun on a budget I have heard of some CZ 75s and Browning High Powers going pretty cheaply lately I would rather go that route.

Nothing wrong with a STAR.

The problem, as I see it, is that you're going to be spending a lot of money and even more time on getting the licence. Compared to that, a 20k pistol becomes almost cheap :-)

In other words, it's worth spending money to get the perfect (for you) gun.

Then you can go on to become a collector and buy the STAR (I already have one, so you can have that one :-)
