I assume glock is a frequent sight at these events?

You require 20 points per year to achieve and retain DSS, which is about 5 club shoots, and usually range from 48 to 70 rounds per shoot, depending how creative Ross gets with his COFs :-)

Also, just bare in mind, dedicated status is there to prove just that... dedication. Sure, we all have busy schedules and can't afford to attend every single shoot, but wanting DSS with just 3-4 club shoots a year might be a bit ambitious.

I'd like to come check out the club, I hear you guys are going to be there this saturday?

Is the club fees a monthly debit order?

Nice! I won't be taking part this time round, but I'll be there. Drop me a PM and we make arrangements. As for the fees, I'm honestly not sure. As is I pay each years once-off.

    Looking forward to meeting you.

    Cheers

SADPA is the cheaper option as all your equipment is geared towards everyday use. (so a once off purchase that you can use daily) SAPSA you use speed rigs etc. Not for everyday use. I shoot SAPSA purely because I started off in KZN and SAPSA is more popular there.

I've basically settled on the G17, but is that the best gun to shoot with?

What about the CZ P07 Duty?

Well seeing the GLOCK and CZ cost the same go for the GLOCK. The only time the CZ was a viable option was when it was 2k cheaper.

Dedicated status with SAPSA involves attending six club shoots OR three leagues OR two Nationals OR any combination of the three. SADPA is roughly similar.Depending on where you stay, you can easily get your points by March without having to shoot a National. In Gauteng you could probably get this by the end of February. See the calendar at www.sapsa.co.za (http://www.sapsa.co.za/Calendar/SAPS...ar_Current.pdf)
