    Default Marlin 1894 Rear Sight

I have a Marlin 1894 44Mag which has the rear sight missing.
Does anyone know someone local that may have one in stock?

Unless you just want it for looks, the better course would be to find a peep sight like the Lyman #48...err...guess the old 48 is no longer made so the #66 looks like the modern version. I always preferred to remove the disc and use the large aperature as a kind of 'ghost ring' sight. Brownell's will also have both the peep and probably either a factory replacement or similar.

Your 1894 will already be drilled and tapped for the receiver sight.

    Thanks ikor.
Either that or I go with a scope of sorts, I have a Millet DMS 1-4 but was planning on putting that on my CAR.
Do you know of a local guy that does Marlin?

I have no idea about a dealer but with as many various Marlins as the guys here say they have I can't imagine there would not be one somewhere in SA.

Everyone thinks different, of course, but for me the allure of a short, handy lever gun shooting a pistol cartridge is that is IS short and light and handles fast. Adding a scope ruins all that for me...although an Aimpoint T-1 might work great.

I have to agree, I like the original package, the scope would only go on there if I don't find a workable site which you have now offered.
Unless of course I can find an original one, I have the height adjustable ramp, I'm just lacking the leaf spring sight

I know it requires an order, but Brownell's does show the factory sight in stock at a good price...
