Cautiously optimistic - Gun trade in may have succeeded
Just phoned the Appeal Board, seems my Glock has been approved "on condition"...Must phone back later when they can find the file with more details.... ;D
Hope this is true, and not a screw up as I've got a relicencing appeal waiting there as well.....

It's official. I need to hand in my Taurus and get a SAPS 522 a and b and fax it to them. Then they will issue the licence. :)

Re: Cautiously optimistic - Gun trade in may have succeeded
R.I.P Taurus PT58 S. At least I have its only magazine to remember it by, and make it a pretty "useless" gun to steal while at the cops ;D
The Beretta mod 84 mags are too short, mod 92 to wide to fit. At best a single shot.
The DFO is visibly sick of recieving weapons for destruction, piles of paper everywhere. Apparently not a fan of people having to have thier guns destroyed from what he tells me.
While I was there two elderly people came in. Man and his sister. Handed in three old 303 rifles, some kind of small top break webley(sp?), a nice looking 38special revolver and a 6.35mm pistol.
Faxed SAPS 522(a). Fax has been recieved and is in order. Application being issued.
Anybody got an idea how long it takes from approved > print card > send card to cops?
Winning this appeal is such a relief.
