Guys, how do i track the progress on my Licence Appeals

If you go to local DFO and can convince him to check on the system (different from normal firearm applications). The "Komputa" will indicate:
1. If they have received you Appeal
2. If they have sent you an acknowledgement letter
3. If the matter is Pending or finalised
4. Who the designated person working on this Appeal (I use the word working loosely)
Getting hold of this said person is another story entirely. Falling pregnant from a run in with a amourous Buffalo is more likely...
My rule of thumb is 3 months after which I write a letter "Demanding" answers and thereafter start legal action. Unfortunately legal action is not necessarily cheap and the modus operandi of the SAPS is to settle these legal issues before it hits the Court Bench, saving them Press and Legal fees but then also costing you more out of your pocket. Of course a Pitbull lawyer might be able to make them pay some legal fees too but don't get you hopes up.
